COORDINATED CATALOGUE RULES
The C International is a fully separate show open to eligible purebred Arabian horses that do not take part in the Egyptian programme. SERWC and Egyptian Event Europe are reserved for Straight Egyptian horses and use the coordinated class-and-championship format set out in these regulations, subject to the ECAHO-approved schedule.
ARTICLE 1 · Applicable rules and precedence
The event programme comprises three distinct titles and prize-givings: Egyptian Event Europe (EEE/EE), the Straight Egyptian Royal World Cup Championship (SERWC), and the Milan CMV Royal Championship — C International.
The ECAHO Blue Book 2025, each approved schedule, the Rules for Conduct of Shows, the Rules for Ties and Championships, veterinary regulations and Rules for Medication Control apply in full. These regulations supplement them without derogating from them. In the event of conflict, the applicable ECAHO rules and approved schedule prevail.
By entering or taking part, all participants, owners, exhibitors, handlers, support personnel and persons responsible for horses accept the jurisdiction and decisions of the competent ECAHO bodies.
ARTICLE 2 · Separate status, entries and judging panels
The C International is an autonomous show with its own entries, classes, results, championships and prize-giving. It is not a Straight Egyptian class or award.
Each horse may be entered in one programme only: the C International or the Egyptian programme (SERWC / Egyptian Event Europe). Horses entered in or taking part in SERWC or Egyptian Event Europe may not be entered in or take part in the C International.
As no horse is common to the C International and the Egyptian programme, no additional judging panel is required because of overlapping participation. The judging panels, rotations, conflicts of interest and provisions stated in the ECAHO-approved schedule for each event remain applicable.
For the Egyptian programme, there is one presentation of the horses and one technical judging of the classes, with separate rankings and prize-givings according to these regulations and the approved schedule.
ARTICLE 3 · Documents, identification and responsibility
Every horse must be registered by the closing date of entries in a WAHO-recognised Stud Book and must be accompanied by a valid passport, identification and compliant vaccination records.
The person responsible guarantees the accuracy of the information provided, the horse’s eligibility, the regularity of genealogical and veterinary documents, and the absence of any exclusion ground under the applicable rules.
The Organiser may request, also before the start of the show, any additional documentation needed to verify identity, genealogy, specific origin, country of birth and required conditions.
ARTICLE 4 · Conduct, welfare and arena procedure
Horse welfare takes precedence over any sporting, organisational or commercial consideration. Abuse, excessive stimulation, intimidation, artificial alteration of appearance and any method, equipment or substance prohibited by ECAHO are forbidden.
The DC exercises the control, exclusion and sanctioning powers provided by the ECAHO Blue Book 2025. All horses must enter the arena at walk only and must report to the collecting ring at least ten minutes before the class. Failure to take part in the initial walk round entails exclusion.
Individual presentation includes standing, walking and trotting, with no more than three circles, unless otherwise provided in the approved schedule.
ARTICLE 5 · Catalogue, scores, publications and communications
The catalogue shall state the Officials, the ECAHO QR Code for the Rules for Conduct, the judging system, tie and championship methods, rules for any foal classes, prize money and any special awards.
Scores, once submitted or transmitted, may not be changed except for technical omissions permitted by ECAHO rules. Any official communication concerning approved corrections, amendments or clarifications shall be published before the start of the relevant classes.
PART A · EGYPTIAN EVENT EUROPE / SERWC
The Egyptian programme consists of one common class competition for Straight Egyptian horses. Horses are presented once and judged once; the same class performance produces the technical rankings for the two championships. No results from previous shows are required in order to take part in Egyptian Event Europe.
ARTICLE 6 · Straight Egyptian eligibility
Only horses registered in a WAHO-recognised Stud Book and meeting the Straight Egyptian definition and documentary requirements in the approved schedule may be entered.
The Organiser is responsible for verifying specific origin and may request any genealogical documentation required.
For Egyptian Event Europe only, eligibility is based on the horse being born in Europe according to the country of birth shown in the passport and official Stud Book, together with any further conditions contained in the approved schedule.
ARTICLE 7 · One presentation, common judging and score calculation
All horses in the same class compete and are judged together. Each horse enters once, is presented once and receives one set of technical marks from the judges actively judging the class.
The same class performance is used for two autonomous technical rankings: one SERWC ranking and one Egyptian Event Europe ranking. No second presentation and no second class judging take place.
The judging system consists of five criteria: Type, Head and Neck, Body and Topline, Legs, Movement, scored from 1 to 20 points, with half-points allowed.
For the SERWC ranking, the five criteria are calculated according to the ECAHO-approved schedule.
For the Egyptian Event Europe ranking, in accordance with the established EEE practice, the Type score shall count double in the calculation of the total score. This double Type score applies only to the EEE ranking and to the EEE special award provided in these regulations.
All valid scores awarded by the active judges are counted. No automatic deletion of the highest and lowest score applies unless expressly approved by ECAHO and published before the show.
ARTICLE 8 · Class structure
The Entry Form may use the ordinary structure below. If entries are insufficient for representative classes, the consolidated structure may be used, subject to ECAHO combination and splitting thresholds and the approved schedule.

The exact age limits for “young” and “older”, any A/B sections and the classes giving access to each championship must be declared in the final programme before the start of the classes and may not be changed afterwards.
ARTICLE 9 · Egyptian Event Europe: admission to the championship
Egyptian Event Europe takes place exclusively within this event. For EEE, no results from other shows are required and there is no external or separate selection process.
From the EEE ranking of each class or section, calculated with the double Type score, the three highest-placed Straight Egyptian horses born in Europe are admitted to the corresponding Egyptian Event Europe Championship.
The ranking is read from the top down, considering only eligible European-born horses. No second class judging takes place. If fewer than three eligible horses are available, only those horses take part and vacant places are not assigned to non-European horses.
A European-born horse may take part in both SERWC and Egyptian Event Europe and may win a medal in each. The championship votes and results remain independent.
ARTICLE 10 · SERWC: admission to the championship
The first three horses in the SERWC overall ranking of each class or section stated in the schedule are admitted to the corresponding Straight Egyptian Royal World Cup Championship.
In the event of A/B sections, the first three horses from each section are admitted to the championship, unless the approved and published schedule provides otherwise.
Every participation remains subject to the conditions, documentary requirements and any limitations contained in the ECAHO-approved schedule and in official communications published before the start of the show.
ARTICLE 11 · Order, confidentiality and prize-givings
For each category, the SERWC Championship is judged first and Egyptian Event Europe immediately afterwards. SERWC ballots are collected and kept confidential. No SERWC vote, result or placing may be announced, displayed on monitors or published before the corresponding Egyptian Event Europe ballot has closed.
Egyptian Event Europe is decided by a new independent ballot; SERWC votes are not transferred. After both ballots have been validated, the two results are proclaimed and the separate prize-givings take place.
The complete event therefore has three autonomous prize-giving ceremonies: Egyptian Event Europe, SERWC and C International.
ARTICLE 12 · Championship method and ties for SERWC/EEE
For both championships, the ECAHO Open Championship Method applies, using Gold 4 points, Silver 2 points and Bronze 1 point. Medal allocation, reserve selection, mandatory participation and ties follow the current ECAHO Rules for Ties and Championships.
The class rankings used for championship access are those determined under Articles 7, 9 and 10 of these regulations.
ARTICLE 13 · EEE Special Award: Best Straight Egyptian Bred & Owned in Europe
In continuity with the tradition of Egyptian Event Europe, a special award will be presented to the best Straight Egyptian horse bred and owned in Europe: “Best Straight Egyptian Horse Bred & Owned in Europe”.
The award is reserved for Straight Egyptian horses eligible for EEE that are bred in Europe and owned in Europe according to the passport, official Stud Book, ownership documentation and any further documents requested by the Organiser.
The winner of the award will be the horse with the highest class score calculated under the EEE system, therefore with the Type score counted double. In the event of a tie, Type score, then Movement score, then the criterion set out in the schedule or applicable ECAHO rules shall apply.
ARTICLE 14 · Final provision for the Egyptian programme
Any technical correction required by ECAHO, ANICA or the DC before the start of the show shall be formally communicated to exhibitors and published as an erratum. Once a class has begun, the judging system, championship access criteria and medal-allocation method may not be changed.
The official ECAHO QR Code included in the catalogue refers to the full applicable rules. In the event of any discrepancy, the ECAHO Blue Book 2025 and the ECAHO-approved schedule prevail.
PART B · MILAN CMV ROYAL CHAMPIONSHIP
ECAHO C International — open to eligible purebred Arabian horses, provided that they are not entered in or taking part in the Egyptian programme.
ARTICLE 15 · C International admission conditions
The show is open to purebred Arabian horses registered, by the closing date of entries, in any WAHO-recognised Stud Book. Straight Egyptian origin is not required. Horses entered in or taking part in SERWC or Egyptian Event Europe are not admitted, nor are horses excluded by ECAHO restrictions arising from previous higher-level results.
Gold or Silver medal winners at the World Championship, a Title Show, an A Show or GCAT may not compete in a C International for the remainder of that calendar year and the following two calendar years, unless the horse has moved from Yearling to Junior or from Junior to Senior.
A horse winning two Gold medals in the same year in two B International shows, two C International shows, or one B International and one C International, may not compete again in a C International during that same year.
For geldings, the specific ECAHO restrictions following Gold or Silver medals at higher levels apply.
Entry of a horse not admitted under these restrictions entails exclusion and the applicable ECAHO fine, currently euro 600.
ARTICLE 16 · Classes and class formation
The definitive classes are those stated in the approved schedule and official programme and may include Foals, Yearlings, Junior Fillies and Colts, Senior Mares and Stallions, and Geldings.
A class may not be split with 15 or fewer entries; Yearling and Gelding classes may be split with at least 10 entries. A class with fewer than three entries may be combined with the next age group of the same sex. A class with more than 20 entries must be split.
ARTICLE 17 · C International scoring system
The published point system applies: five criteria — Type, Head and Neck, Body and Topline, Legs, Movement — scored from 1 to 20 points, with half-points allowed. Where Head and Neck or Walk and Trot are scored separately, the respective scores are averaged to produce one Head and Neck score and one Movement score.
All valid scores awarded by the judges actively judging the class are counted. No automatic deletion of the highest and lowest score per criterion applies unless expressly included in the ECAHO-approved schedule and published before the show.
ARTICLE 18 · Access to C International championships
For each category represented by more than one class, the first three horses in each class or section are admitted to the relevant championship, unless a different option is expressly approved and published in the schedule.
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded in the Yearling, Junior and Senior Female and Male categories, and, if scheduled, Geldings, according to the final programme.
The ECAHO Open Championship Method applies: each judge simultaneously nominates Gold, Silver and Bronze, awarding 4, 2 and 1 point respectively. Gold is awarded to the horse receiving the greatest number of Gold votes; if tied, the highest championship-point total prevails. Silver and Bronze are awarded from the remaining horses according to championship points. A fourth reserve horse is identified but not announced.
ARTICLE 19 · Ties, participation and C prize-giving
In positions giving access to championships, ties are decided by Type, then Movement, then the class scores of a judge selected by ballot. Championship ties are decided first by the higher class total, then by Type, Movement and the selected-judge procedure.
Every horse admitted to a championship must compete unless a DC veterinarian’s certificate is produced. Class-placed horses and championship medallists must attend their respective prize-givings unless the DC decides otherwise. The C International prize-giving is separate from SERWC and Egyptian Event Europe.
